    • If you’re Ubering, try to order it the night before to escape rush hour.

    • If you're taking public transit, plan for this to take around 30 mins. Give yourselves extra time in case trains are slow/crowded at rush hour. This will cost $2.25 - you can download the SmarTrip app to your phone ahead of time or purchase a ticket at the station. Factor in extra time if you will purchase a ticket at the station. We’ve included directions for the metro below, but you can also find those & other routes here.

      1. Walk to the Farragut West Metro station:
        Exit the Mayflower Hotel and walk about 5 minutes to the Farragut West Metro Station (entrance near 18th & I St NW, across from Farragut Square).

      2. Enter the station and go down the escalators.
        After you pass through the fare gates, head right and follow the signs for the Blue/Orange/Silver lines toward Largo Town Center (Blue), New Carrollton (Orange), or Downtown Largo (Silver).

      3. Board any eastbound Blue, Orange, or Silver Line train. (All three lines go to Capitol South — no need to worry about the color.)

      4. Ride your train to the Capitol South station.

      5. Take a left after exiting the station. You’ll see the Cannon House Building on the corner (it’s under construction).

      6. Continue walking that direction along First Street, slightly uphill. There will be signs pointing you towards the Capitol Visitor Center. Once you reach the street corner you’ll see the Capitol Building Dome. Cross the street diagonally and walk towards the Capitol Building.

    • Engage will be meeting in front of the Capitol front steps on the concrete area between the Capitol Building and the Visitor Center.

    • Rayburn Cafeteria (House side):

      1. Walk down the side street on Independence Street and South Capitol Street.

      2. Start at South Capitol Street entrance, across from the John Dingell Room/Energy and Commerce Subcommittee - you’re on Floor 1.

      3. Take a right and walk to the elevators.

      4. Go down one floor to floor “G”.

      5. Take a right and follow signs for Cafeteria (room 2063) - walk straight to the end of the hallway and take a left.

      6. The cafeteria will be on your right.

    • Dirksen Cafeteria (Senate side):

      1. Enter on Constitution Avenue.

      2. Take the elevators straight ahead to the sub basement.

      3. Follow signs for the cafeteria.

      4. There is another cafeteria in the same location just one floor above.
